ARDMORE FOOD PANTRY UPDATE February 2020

ARDMORE FOOD PANTRY UPDATE

February 2020

Monday, February 3rd 72 people were served by the AFP. The mood is always festive as coffee/tea and pastries are provided to AFP guests. Along with the staple items (some of which APC members and friends provide) there is always produce, protein items, bakery breads and baked goods, a variety of items from Wawa and Trader Joe’s and much more. A lovely touch is bunches of flowers that are available. Government surplus is also available to those who fall within the criteria guidelines (recently available was pollack, blocks of cheese, raisins, eggs). Volunteers come from an array of places – some from companies who give their employees time off with pay to volunteer, adults from group homes with their mentors, and members of a wide range of faith communities. If you’d like to know more about  volunteering feel free to chat with Carol Fritz or Joanne Poorman who are often at the Food Pantry on Monday mornings.

Special thanks to each of our AFP “angels” who faithfully leave items in the front office or in the sanctuary narthex.

Current Ardmore Food Pantry needs:  Cold Cereal, Canned Fruit, Applesauce, Regular Coffee (not instant), Canned Chicken, Pasta (please no lasagna noodles), chunky peanut butter.
