Worship with Us
What To Expect:
The principal and defining element of our church is its worship. Music is essential to our traditional service, which involves the entire congregation through hymns, anthems, prayers, reading and preaching of the Word. The beautiful, Biblical, stained glass windows in our Neo-Gothic sanctuary inspire us to open our hearts and minds to encounter a living God’s loving and transforming presence. SERVICE TIME
Sunday morning worship services begin at 10:30 A.M.
Adult Sunday Morning Class begins at 9:00 A.M.
Children’s Church takes place during worship, beginning at about 10:50 A.M.
(Children are dismissed to Children’s Church after the children’s message during worship, but are always welcome to remain with their grown-ups if they so choose.) Keep scrolling to learn more about Children’s Church!
LOCATION
Ardmore Presbyterian Church is located at 5 West Montgomery Avenue, on the corner of Montgomery Avenue and Mill Creek Road. Our Sanctuary entrance is directly across the street from the parking lot at the Suburban Square shopping center. We are a short walk from the Ardmore regional rail station and SEPTA bus lines.
PARKING
Parking is available across the street in the Suburban Square parking lot. Limited parking and accessible parking are provided behind the church, off of Bleddyn Road.
ACCESSIBILITY
Most public areas of the building including the sanctuary, are fully ADA accessible. There is an elevator on the first floor (accessible by the Church Office entrance behind the church) for those who have trouble using the stairs. Click here to view a map of church entrances. Hearing-aid headphones, large-print worship folders are available from the ushers. Audio of the worship service is played in the Chapel and in the Nursery for those who need to step away from the Sanctuary.
WHAT TO WEAR
Most people wear business casual attire, but you will also see some of us in suits, and others in jeans. We care more that you are here than what you wear.
FOR THE CHILDREN
Children begin their time in the sanctuary for worship and the children’s message, and then may choose leave the service for their own Church School experience. This typically includes a lesson and craft.
Quiet activities are available in the Children’s Chapel inside the Sanctuary (to the right halfway up the aisle) for kids who need a break from sitting in the pews. If your little one needs a break from worship, a nursery is located just off of the Children’s Chapel, so parents have the option of remaining with their children, and are able to hear the Worship Service transmitted into the nursery area.
