Transforming Lives Through the Good News of Jesus Christ.
APC small groups meet throughout the week at the church. The Christian Education Committee encourages you to find a group that fits your interest and schedule and join us as we seek to deepen our relationship with God and with one another and be God’s witnesses in the world.
Adult Sunday AM Class
Sundays 9:00-10:00am in the Mill Creek Room
We all need constant renewal and growth in our faith journey. This small group seeks to expand and inspire our faith to be a living faith through discussions in fellowship of scripture, issues of faith in our daily lives, community and mission. In the past, we have done bible study, considered the biblical foundation of major works of music and art, discussed compassionate approaches to mission, studied the Confessions of the Presbyterian Church, studied the effects of world views on how we live. Coffee is provided, as well as child care. All are welcome. (During the Coronavirus crisis, this group is meeting via Zoom. Wednesday Bible Study & Brown Bag Lunch

This small group led by Elaine Giese shares lunch, prayer, fellowship and bible study. This time is always lively, and we welcome you to join us. We meet September through June.

Sundays after worship in the Green Room (*Currently on Mondays on Zoom*)
This small group meets weekly on Monday afternoons to pray for the needs of church members and friends. This group is led by Twila Garletts, and is responsible for the weekly “Prayer & More List” of prayer needs that is still sent out weekly by e-mail to those wishing to receive it.
The ALPHA course is a series of 15 sessions in which participants meet to discuss Questions of Life and Faith in an informal setting, starting with sharing a simple supper, then watching a 30 min. video and ending with small group discussions of the themes. The course also includes a Saturday retreat on the Workings of the Holy Spirit. APC has offered this course from New Years to Easter for 2 years on Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7:45 PM with the Holy Spirit retreat on one Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM as an outreach to the APC membership and to our local neighbors who are searching for ‘Answers to Life and Faith’.
The After Alpha group was started by participants in the ALPHA program who wanted to continue asking faith questions after completing the ALPHA program. It is now open to anyone interesting in exploring their faith questions. This group is led by Don Poorman. It has been using materials prepared by Nicky Gumbel, expressly to follow up after an ALPHA COURSE.
Spiritual Enrichment Retreat
Each year, for more than 10 years, APC has provided opportunities for APC members, friends, and neighbors to experience teachings from leaders outside of our church. Most of these have been weekend, multi-day, multi- media, multi-generational sessions at the church on themes such as; Prayer, Mission, Community, and many others. These include eating together, praying together, learning and discussing together with the leaders. These events are supported by income from a donation to the church designated for the purpose of connecting APC’s history with its current faith journey.
Christian Education Small Group
This small group is an out-growth of the Christian Education Committee in order to spend some fellowship and study time beyond the committee work with others interested in Christian renewal and growth. The group meets once a month, usually the 3rd Monday of the month in the Toal’s home from 7 to 8:30 PM. The evening usually ends with delicious desserts. All interested in Christian education and growth are welcome.
Tending Our Hearts

This groups is led by Pastor Judith Brackett and is open for all who are interested in trying to find meaning and seeking spiritual sustenance via discussion in a small group. Look for the link in the weekly emails from Ardmore Presbyterian Church.
