Rev. Diane Jamison Fitch
Transitional Pastor
After working in the business world, Diane felt the call to ministry and attended Princeton Theological Seminary. Diane’s ministry has included two years as a chaplain at Abington Memorial Hospital, twelve years serving in the Hudson River Presbytery in Yorktown Heights, Carmel, and Katonah, New York, and twelve years serving Philadelphia Presbytery churches in Ambler, Chestnut Hill, and Abington.
Outside of work, Diane enjoys reading, cooking, music, hiking, art, photography, and travelling. Her husband John works for Microsoft. They reside in Maple Glen and have two children: Joshua, who is a junior studying at Purdue University, and Caroline, who is a freshman at MassArt in Boston. We look forward to Pastor Diane’s leadership in guiding us through our transition to the next called pastor.
Gary Garletts
Director of Music/Organist
Gary is in his 30th year of professional music leadership. At APC he directs Chancel, Youth, Children’s and Handbell Choirs, and plays, conducts and/or coordinates music for all worship services. Gary grew up in Fayette County, PA, where he later directed music programs for Trinity Presbyterian Church (Uniontown) and the Greater Uniontown Chorale. In the 1990’s he directed a comprehensive music ministry at First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA. Gary earned music degrees at Oberlin College and Duquesne University, and is an Associate of the American Guild of Organists. Gary is also Artistic Director and Conductor of the 80-voice Chester County Choral Society. He lives in Havertown, PA with his wife, Twila.
Rev. Judith Brackett
Director of Family Ministries
Pastor Judith is an ordained Minister of the Word and Sacrament, and a minister member of the Presbytery of Philadelphia, and comes to us with a background in education with a second career as a pastor. She has her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine with a BS in Education, and her Master’s of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. She lives in Narberth with her husband and has two young adult sons. Pastor Judith has served churches in suburban and urban Philadelphia. She leads spiritual retreats in area churches.
Michelle Butera
Director of Ardmore Presbyterian Preschool
Michelle has a background in finance and management, 20+ years of parenting experience and 25 years as member of APC, a decade of Sunday School teaching and 15+ years of preschool teaching experience. She brings her faith, her heart and her wisdom to help the preschool have an amazing experience. Michelle is originally from Cherry Hill, N.J. She has her undergraduate degree from Drexel University and her Master’s Degree from Penn State University. She loves to see the happiness and joy that come from each child. Michelle is the mother of two adult daughters and lives in Havertown with her husband Louis.
Raelyn Harman
Church Administrator
Raelyn earned her Master’s in Social Work at Temple University and has worked as a community organizer, in the Department of Human Services, the Philadelphia School District and as a trainer of child welfare social workers. She ran the office for her family’s business. Raelyn and her husband, Gopal Subramanian have two children, Peter and Maya and live in Havertown. Raelyn is a member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church and enjoys travel. crocheting and gardening.
Scott Welden
Financial Secretary
Scott graduated with a B.S. in Management from Villanova University and has an MBA in Finance from Drexel University. Scott resides in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania with his wife of over 35 years, Eve and is the father of two adult sons. Scott’s hobbies include reading, golf, baseball, sailing and spending time with his family. Since his retirement two years ago, Scott has become deeply involved in volunteering for non-profit organizations such as the National Constitution Center, Broad Street Ministries in Philadelphia and City Team in Chester. Scott is a member of the Swarthmore Presbyterian Church where he has served twice as Elder.
Bob Peters
Building Manager
Bob left the insurance industry and started working with his son rehabbing rental properties.
With his experience in business and hands on maintenance work, he makes a great fit for Building Manager at APC.
