Local Outreach Ministry: Ardmore Food Pantry

The Ardmore Food Pantry is housed at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore and continues to serve those experiencing food insecurity on Monday mornings from 11 a.m. to Noon and on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This ministry has continued throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and has included home deliveries to those who can’t get to the church to pick-up food items.

The AFP is again asking for donated staple food items as well as paper bags with handles and reusable plastic grocery bags. Below is a list of items that are made available to the guests each week:

Cereals, canned meals (beef stew, chili, Chef Boyardee items), pasta, spaghetti sauce, hearty soups (Campbells Chunky, Progresso), mac & cheese, bottled dressing, canned tuna, chicken, salmon, granola bars, oatmeal (packets), canned vegetables and beans, sliced bread, snacks (pudding cups, microwave popcorn, raisins, etc.), peanut butter & jelly, canned (or cups of) fruit and applesauce, mayonnaise (smaller sized jars), crackers (saltines or Ritz)

Non-perishable donations can be left in the St. Mary’s cloister at any time (there is signage along the driveway pointing to the cloister entry). You may also leave items in the APC office or in the narthex (where you enter our sanctuary).

APC members and friends have been very supportive of the AFP during the COVID-19 pandemic with monetary contributions, gift cards, paper bags with handles and reusable plastic grocery bags, low inventory food items, and prayers. The AFP is an amazing community outreach that allows individuals and families to experience God’s provision for them. Thank you! To God be the glory!
