The next opportunity to help out with the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) is the week of May 10, 2021. Due to COVID-19, families are still not coming to stay at different church buildings; however, donations are requested and can be brought to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore, between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10 or Friday, May 14 (the items will be transported from there to IHN).
There is currently one family (a mother with a three-year-old), who are staying at the IHN Day Center in Norristown. Due to allergies in the family, meals may not be needed (but a second family may still arrive, and then some meals would be needed; details to come).
Current needs include: soy milk, almond milk, wheat bread (not “honey”), Gatorade, Pedialyte, protein shakes (for children), water, juices (without added sugar), dairy-free cheese, dairy-free yogurt, and gift cards (“Visa” preferred).
To sign up to bring something and/or get further details, please contact Schaunel Steinnagel, rvschaunel@aol.com or 610-658-2636, (home) or 302-463-0542 (cell).
Thank you very much for your help in fighting hunger and homelessness on the Main Line!
