Bread for the World: Offering of Letters

I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Matthew 25:35).

Hunger has been increasing in our nation and world, especially among the most vulnerable communities. Why does hunger continue to exist? Does it have anything to do with political will? Please consider writing a letter to Congress to end hunger!

Bread for the World (www.bread.org), the Christian anti-hunger advocacy organization—which each year chooses the issue which can have the most potential impact to help end hunger (if acted on in the right way by the U.S. Congress)—is in this second year of the COVID-19 pandemic taking on the broad goal of focusing on getting more food and resources to children who are experiencing poverty. On Sunday, June 13, there will be an opportunity to write a letter to your U.S. Senators and Representatives after worship on the lawn at Ardmore Presbyterian Church. Click here for more information and to send a letter electronically. Thank you!
