A Ministry Of Caring – The Ardmore Food Pantry (AFP) updated 8/13

WAYS MEMBERS/FRIENDS OF ARDMORE PRESBYTERIAN CAN BE PART OF THIS MISSION:

Monetary donations supplement staple items which are donated but are never enough to meet the weekly need. Checks can be written to Ardmore Presbyterian Church with Ardmore Food Pantry or FP on the memo line and mailed to the Church. These gifts will allow pre-packed bags to have a balanced selection of staple food items each week.

If you are shopping and wish to purchase items and deliver them to the St. Mary’s Church, below is a list of the items that are put into the pre-packed bags each week:

Low Inventory Items: Cold Cereal; Bread, Sliced Loaves; Canned Tuna or Chicken; Canned Vegetables; Canned Tuna or Chicken; Canned Meals (stew, chili, ravioli, etc.); Mayo—15-22 oz.; Instant Oatmeal packets; Hearty Soups (Progresso, Campbell’s Chunky); Mac & Cheese; Spaghetti Sauce (24 oz. jars/cans); Canned Beans (baked, pork & beans, black beans, etc.); Peanut Butter and Jelly; Saltine or Ritz Crackers (sleeves); Applesauce/Fruit—cans or cups; Granola Bars; Individual sized Snacks; Bottled Dressings.

During July & August Food Pantry monetary gifts and actual donations are traditionally low because people are away on vacation so there is more of an urgent need of help.

Paper grocery bags WITH HANDLES are especially needed.

Donations of Face Masks would be wonderful.

106 bags were given out on June 15th!

Food items and grocery bags can be dropped off at St. Mary’s under the covered porch. St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 36 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003 – just past the Ardmore Post Office. www.facebook.com/ardmorefoodpantry/
