Presbyterians have a long-standing history of supporting public education. Delaware County is home to 15 school districts. The disparity in resources between districts and communities is staggering. APC has chosen to take action to set right this injustice by supporting the organization, Teachers’ Teammates.
Teachers’ Teammates is a new teacher resource center whose mission is to ensure that all K-12 teachers and students in Delaware County have the supplies they need to succeed in school. TT is assembling “Back to School Bags” for 52 teachers in the Southeast Delco School District. We want to convey our appreciation and support for the effort they make every day on behalf of their students and to acknowledge the challenging year they are starting this September.
You can help by donating any items from the list that follows. Items can be new or in “like new” condition, can be left in the church’s front office or picked up at your convenience by Sept. 11th. For questions please contact Raelyn Harman at 610-331-8972. Thank you!
