Thanks to Gary Garletts, the choir and musicians for a wonderful afternoon on Sunday. We could not have had better weather for our OUTDOOR Advent Celebration. Glad we could safely gather, sing, and get into the spirit of Christmas! If you have not seen the decorations and wooden signs (as pictured above) on our fence, what a beautiful way to proclaim the messages of our faith. Thanks to all who made this happen!
ALTERNATIVE GIFT MARKETPLACE:
Christmas is a time for giving. Hoping you will consider sharing donations to some wonderful organizations that can use our support now more than ever – and share that message of generosity with a loved one. The Mission Awareness Committee is offering gift-ready cards for six different efforts. You may give online, and all the information is here for you!
CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING:
This month, we are collecting the Christmas Joy Offering, which helps Presbyterian colleges and Presbyterian clergy. More information is available here.
WORSHIP ON CHRISTMAS EVE:
There is no doubt this year has been challenging. Christmas Eve will not be what we are used to at APC, but we can join our hearts in worship, and our spirits in rejoicing as we celebrate the coming of the Christ Child! We are hoping to offer two options for worship this year – we will decide by this Friday, 12/18:
1. At 4 pm, we will gather outside for a brief service for all ages, with scripture, carols, singing and candlelight – all with masks and socially distant. In the case of bad weather, the service will be streamed live.
2. A traditional service of Lessons & Carols is being recorded, that all may safely enjoy from home, a service with a rich variety of music and scripture shared by church members.
WELCOMING OUR NEW PASTOR:
How can we welcome Rev. Grimes and his family and introduce ourselves in the midst of COVID-19? Here are TWO ways –
1. Create a brief video of you (and your family), sharing your names and a bit about who you are. Or write up a brief account of you and what you love about APC. Email your video or written account to Tony Fragale email@example.com, and he will compile them into a video to share with Jason and his family. Please submit by Friday, 12/18.
2. Send a Christmas card of greeting to Jason and his family for the holiday –

Hoping you stay warm and safe and dry during the storm,
