Baritone Tom Sitzler has been capturing audiences with his warm, generous voice and convincing stage presence. Growing up in Arizona, Tom purchased CD’s of pianist Glenn Gould and composer Rachmaninoff, while his older brothers and friends bought the newest albums of the latest bands. This began his lasting love of classical music.
In 2009, Tom sang his first professional role as the Old Gypsy in Il Trovatore, with Union Avenue Opera. This catapulted him to bigger roles, such as Escamillo (Carmen), Germont (La Traviata), and Scarpia (Tosca). Recently Tom and his wife Stephanie Ann Ball moved to the Main Line from Denver, CO, where they frequently sang with Boulder Opera, Opera Steamboat, Larimer Chorale, Aurora Symphony, and the Colorado Chamber Orchestra.
Tom also maintains a private studio in Bryn Mawr, teaching voice, piano, and music theory to teens and adults. Visit www.tomsitzler.com to find out more about Tom!
