Sign-Up for or Donate to the “FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN- Mobile Pack” on April 28th

Around the world and here in this country, people who have been victims of natural disasters and poverty are in need of food. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization, founded in 1987, which provides nutritionally complete packaged meals to those in need  around the world and to disaster victims in this country.

On April 28, 2018, our friends from Overbrook Presbyterian Church and others will gather to pack meals in the cafeteria  at Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast High School  located at 403 N. Lansdowne Ave., Upper Darby. Volunteers age 8 and up are welcome to participate and to help scoop ingredients, seal bags, and prepare boxes for shipping.

Volunteers can sign up for specific 2 hour time blocks : 9-11am, noon – 2pm, 2:30-4:30pm, 5-7:00 pm. The morning and noon slots fill up quickly. Volunteer sessions will include an orientation presentation followed by 90 minutes of performing one of the packing assignments.  To sign up, go to FMSC ‘s website:  www.fmsc.org. For any additional information, please contact Jim Vagnoni at 610-233-9589 or at amervag@comcast.net.

If you cannot volunteer to pack meals, you can make a donation at the FMSC website (Care at Crossroads MobilePack so its counted to our project) or by sending a check made out to FMSC and addressed to Overbrook Presbyterian Church at 6376 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19151.

At a recent  APC Mission Awareness Committee meeting, Jim not only  made a compelling presentation to our committee regarding this FMSC event, but he provided a generous check from the Overbrook Presbyterian Church in support of APC’s  First Place ministry. We look forward to working more closely with our friends at Overbrook Presbyterian Church and to supporting mission projects such as this event.
